Video: Alabama Holds Off Georgia, Set For Date With Notre Dame In BCS Championship
The Score: No. 2 Alabama 32, No. 3 Georgia 28
The Star(s): Alabama: Eddie Lacy 20 Car, 181 Yds, 2 TDs – T.J. Yeldon 25 Car, 153 Yds, 1 TD
The Story: Debatably the game of the year. Georgia had the lead multiple times during the contest, including 21-10 at one point, but couldn’t put the Tide away. A.J. McCarron’s 45-yard touchdown pass to Amari Cooper was the winning score, though it took a series of defensive stops from Bama’s defense to seal the win. The game ended on a Georgia completion that took the Dawgs down to the 4-yard line as time expired. Alabama also rushed for 350 yards.
Update: Business Insider has a great video of the final few plays of the game.
Bama fans are apparently very happy.
