Former St. Louis Volleyball Star Megan Boken Fatally Shot

A former St. Louis University volleyball player has passed away after she was shot Saturday afternoon in front of her old apartment. According to CBS News, Megan Boken was shot fatally in the neck and chest while sitting in her car Saturday around 2 p.m.
The gunman is still on the loose, and witnesses have come forward with conflicting stories about his proximity to Boken when he shot her.
The police have not determined a motive for the shooting, and Boken was supposedly in the St Louis area for a volleyball reunion later that day.
UPDATE: HuffPo is reporting that the police think the murder was the “result of a botched robbery”.
