Dirk Nowitzki Wearing Kentucky “Succeed and Proceed” T-Shirt

Derrick Rose, John Wall, Anthony Davis…the list of John Calipari coached players that spent one year in college before flourishing in the NBA is long and impressive. Calipari and those players seemingly benefited from the league’s rule that forces players to wait one year post-high school before entering the NBA. The Kentucky coach proposed for that rule, dubbed “one-and-done” by many, to now be called, “succeed-and-proceed” instead

There have been some T-shirts made that feature Calipari’s new slogan, and one NBA star can be seen in the following photo wearing it. He didn’t play for Calipari, though.

The Dallas Mavericks star never played in college. He came straight to the NBA from Germany. But Nowitzki has said that if he had played college basketball, he would have done it at Kentucky. Nowitzki would have been quite the one-and-done, that’s for sure.
