Coach Cal Is Being Heavily Criticized On Twitter For Not Leaving Kentucky To Coach The Cavs

John Calipari is the coach of the Kentucky men’s basketball team, and based on his seven-year deal worth nearly $7 million a season, he’ll likely be the coach in Lexington for a while.

According to a report, though, he could have been the coach of the Cleveland Cavaliers. Calipari reportedly turned down a $80 million offer from the Cavaliers.

With LeBron James announcing today that he is returning to Cleveland, many in the Twitterverse feel Calipari made the wrong decision to stay at Kentucky.

Maybe Calipari is regretting his decision to turn down the Cavaliers offer. But one thing is for sure: he’s happy in Lexington. He’s making $7 million a season at one of the country’s top college basketball programs.
