Jay Graham has chosen to leave his alma mater for a new position as an offensive assistant at Florida State.

Graham played college football at The University of Tennessee as a running back and had been the team’s running backs coach since 2012.

Tennessee head coach Butch Jones announced Graham’s departure via Twitter this morning:

Tauren Poole, former Tennessee running back and current player for the Carolina Panthers wasn’t very pleased to hear that Graham had left his alma mater.

Graham has not released a statement yet, but Josh Ward from WNML in Knoxville is reporting that Graham will receive “more money and more responsibility at Florida State.”
