BREAKING: Notre Dame Is Going To The BCS National Championship
Yes, folks, this is really going to happen. Notre Dame has just defeated USC at the Coliseum and has virtually clinched a spot in the BCS National Championship Game. The game will be held in Miami on January 7th, 2013.
Notre Dame led all night, but USC made a few pushes late to try to get back into the game. A goal-line stand by the Irish late in the 4th quarter put an end to any hopes of a Trojan comeback.
The Irish entered the day ranked No. 1 in both polls, as well as the BCS Standings. As for No. 2, that will be decided next weekend between Alabama and Georgia, which meet for the SEC Championship Game in Atlanta.
