Boston College Soccer Player Stephanie McCaffrey Suspended For Insensitive Tweeting

A Boston College women’s soccer player has crossed the fine line between funny and offensive, and she’s paying dearly. Stephanie McCaffrey, BC’s sophomore forward, has been suspended from Friday’s game for making rude and inappropriate remarks about Penn State via her Twitter handle.

As if you couldn’t guess it yourself, she wrote about none other than the Jerry Sandusky scandal. After she spewed all sorts of offensive remarks, Penn State students saw McCaffrey’s tweets and reported the foul remarks to her coaches.

Apologies have now come straight from the university and from McCaffrey herself. If you want to see the worst of the ridiculous tweets she sent into cyberspace, check out this post from Onward State.
