Conference expansion isn’t just happening at the top level.

According to ESPN, Albany and Stony Brook will be joining the Colonial Athletic Association for football-only starting in 2013. The two schools have experienced much success in their current leagues, the Northeast Conference and the Big South, and were looking to upgrade their competition.

Time will tell if they were ready for the challenge.
