Pittsburgh Tight End J.P. Holtz Thinks Notre Dame And Its Coaches Are “Cocky”

Pittsburgh sophomore tight end J.P. Holtz apparently just isn’t a fan of Notre Dame. He decided to make that clear this afternoon, and in the process, give Brian Kelly and the Irish some locker room material.

Holtz told reporters that he visited South Bend when he was in high school, and despite liking the area, he said that he just flat out doesn’t like Notre Dame. He thinks that both the players and coaches are “really cocky.” Per Sam Werner of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette:

We’ll see if any of the Irish players or coaches have any response in the coming days.

Holtz and the Panthers came painfully close to derailing Notre Dame’s BCS title hopes during last year’s matchup. I’m sure they’re hoping to get the job done this time around.
