Sunday afternoon, it was announced by Notre Dame that Jerian Grant, the team’s leading scorer, would no longer be enrolled at the school due to an “academic matter” that he claims he did not “handle properly.” Monday, Irish coach Mike Brey spoke about Grant’s future, both short-term and long-term. He’s confident that Grant will return to Notre Dame and resume his career, but he also says he’s talked to his former player about getting a job in the interim.

Brey also added that he’s confident that Grant will be readmitted to the school before the summer.
While Grant is a senior, he redshirted his freshman year, meaning he still has one year of eligibility remaining in South Bend. We’ll keep you updated on his progress.
