Florida State Is No. 1 In The AP Preseason College Football Top 25, Alabama No. 2

As expected, defending national champion Florida State will be No. 1 from the outset in 2014 according to the AP poll. The Seminoles took home 57 votes as the first place team, just ahead of Alabama, Oregon, Oklahoma, and Ohio State, which rounds out the top five.

The SEC leads all conferences with eight schools included. The Pac-12 is also well-represented, with six schools in this first AP poll, including Oregon, who received one of three non-Florida State first place votes, and Washington in the No. 25 spot with new coach Chris Petersen at the helm.
