Purell’s Twitter Account Owned The Cleveland Browns Tonight, But The Tweet Was Deleted

Tonight, the Denver Broncos were absolutely eviscerated in the Super Bowl by the Seattle Seahawks, 43-8. The performance by the Broncos was so bad, that one brand, Purell, was tricked into thinking that they were watching the hometown Cleveland Browns (Purell is based in Akron, Ohio):


The tweet was deleted, but the company owned up to it — at least until those tweets got deleted too:



Really this is no big deal though, because Cleveland fans are more than familiar with being made fun of for the lack of sports success — it’s just business as usual.
