Pete Carroll, Wisconsin Basketball Pull April Fools’ Joke On Fans Regarding Russell Wilson

The April Fools’ jokes are coming fast and furiously. Seattle Seahawks coach Pete Carroll apparently couldn’t resist getting in on the action.

Earlier today, Carroll tweeted about his star Super Bowl-winning quarterback Russell Wilson accepting an invitation to practice with Bo Ryan’s Final Four bound Wisconsin Badgers basketball team. He then posted a photo of Wilson during his high school playing days. On 710 AM ESPN Seattle, Wisconsin AD Barry Alvarez even called in to “confirm” the news.

But of course, it was a joke. Carroll eventually called in himself to yell “April Fools”. That being said, it’s entirely possible that Wilson shows up to speak some words of encouragement to the Badgers.

So relax, Seahawks fans. Wilson won’t be injuring himself this offseason – at least not on the basketball court.
