Big Lead Sports is reporting that Penn State is doing away with its tradition of singing “Sweet Caroline” at home games. The decision comes as a result of the Sandusky child abuse scandal.
The song is being banned because of lyrics that were seen as inappropriate given the situation. The song includes phrases such as “touching me, touching you,” and is about an 11-year old child.
