Top-100 Recruit Chooses OSU Basketball After Watching OSU Football

The Ohio State Buckeyes basketball team and Thad Matta have added a very good recruit to their 2013 class; Kameron Williams. Williams is a shooting guard out of Baltimore, MD (Mount St. Joseph’s High School). He is 6-foot-3 and weighs in at 170 pounds.
According to ESPN, Williams is ranked 52nd overall and is the 15th-best SG in the class of 2013.
Ohio State was very late in recruiting Williams, as the Buckeyes did not start really pursuing him until a couple weeks ago when Matta made a visit to his school. Williams then reciprocated and made an official visit to Ohio State this past weekend for the football game against California – and he must have liked what he saw. Williams joins Marc Loving as another very solid recruit for the Buckeyes in the class of 2013.
Hopefully this will lead to the Ohio State basketball program being able to reload and not rebuild in the coming years. Matta and the coaching staff are still trying to add to the class of 2013, but as of now, ESPN has Ohio State as the 22nd best recruiting class.
