Update: Ohio State WR Believes Buckeyes Would “Wipe The Field” With Both Alabama And “Whoever”

Update: Here’s video of the quote, via Cleveland.com: It’s worth nothing that Spencer is actually responding to a question asked about Oregon, Alabama and Baylor – not Florida State, as originally reported.

Earlier: The Ohio State Buckeyes are certainly not lacking confidence right now. They have moved up to third in the most recent BCS standings, and Urban Meyer has gone on the record saying that he believes his team should be ranked second right now behind only the Crimson Tide. While it remains to be seen if they will actually get a shot to play for the national title (they need one of the two teams ahead of them to lose), wide receiver Evan Spencer believes that if they do get a shot, they will fare really, really well:

Taunting great teams is never really a good idea, but you can’t blame Spencer for believing his team can play with the other big boys. Unfortunately for him, the Buckeyes haven’t put themselves in a position where they control their own destiny, so they remain hoping for a shot to prove their teammate right.
