Top Recruit Tweeted That He’d Only Commit Tonight If LeBron Made A Decision Tonight, Then Did Anyway

One of the top running backs in the country, Larry “LJ” Scott, an Ohio native, wanted to have a little fun with the whole LeBron James free agency fiasco – but he apparently wasn’t willing to hold out quite as long as the King has to announce a decision. Scott, a four-star tailback who was reportedly deciding between the Ohio State Buckeyes and Michigan State Spartans, promised his followers that if LeBron made his decision tonight, he’d also announce where he’d be playing his collegiate football.

Scott did not last very long, however. According to Scout, he committed to play for Mark Dantonio and the Spartans just a few hours later.

All jokes aside, Scott is a great get for MSU. If the Spartans are going to continue to be a big player in the Big Ten, they’ll need to land big recruits consistently. This is a solid start.
