Michigan State’s January 2014 victory against Stanford is now forever engraved in Rose Bowl history.

The Spartans defeated Stanford, 24-20, in this past season’s Rose Bowl. Mark Dantonio’s 2013 squad had one of the most successful seasons in program history, going 13-1 with a BCS game victory and a Big Ten title win against Ohio State.

Michigan State’s Rose Bowl plaque has officially been installed in the game’s Court of Champions.

Could Michigan State repeat its 2013 success this season? The Spartans are expected to start the year ranked in the top 10, and along with Ohio State, are the favorite to win the Big Ten.
