Freshman DT Henry Poggi Disappoints Michigan Fans During Media Day

One of the unique aspects of college football compared to the pro game is that multiple players can wear the same number — they just can’t be on the field at the same time. Often this results in doubly-cool jerseys where a fan has a number that represents both an offensive and defensive star.

However, there can be drawbacks on occasion, particularly if fans only know a player but their number rather than their name or face — Michigan’s Henry Poggi found that out recently:

To be fair to the fans, both Shane Morris (QB) and Poggi (DT) are freshmen, so the Michigan faithful haven’t been that exposed to them yet. Hopefully in a few years, that mistake will be far less common.

Pretty funny though.
