Video: Randy Edsall Discusses Development Of Maryland Program Despite Injuries And Adversity

The Randy Edsall era at Maryland has certainly been shaky thus far. The former UConn coach went 2-10 and 4-8 in his first two seasons before posting a 7-6 bowl campaign in year three, the school’s final season as a member of the ACC. While 13-24 record is nothing to write home about, Terps fans will tell you that injuries have been a major factor, especially in the last two years, and there has been development in the program despite subpar results. Edsall seems to have the same views, and seems very upbeat about the direction that his team is heading in, as they move to the Big Ten.

The video features workout footage, as well as the unveiling of an updated “Gaining Results Through Teamwork” pyramid, a staple of Edsall’s program at Maryland since he arrived, which has been printed for the new conference. Edsall will face some pressure to prove he can compete in the Big Ten early on. He might want to incorporate some new levels from another pyramid to ensure further success in his new, midwestern league.
