Report: Indiana Decommit James Blackmon Jr. Gets An Offer From Kentucky

Yesterday, we learned that 4-star point guard James Blackmon Jr. decommitted from Indiana to reevaluate his options. Blackmon is ranked as the third best player in the state of Indiana, so it’s no surprise that he’s already receiving offers from other universities.

Even though Blackmon is still considering the Hoosiers, his father, James Blackmon Sr. said that his son has received an offer from the University of Kentucky and he’s “pretty sure” Blackmon Jr. will take an official visit.

The Blackmon family has ties with Kentucky – Blackmon Sr. played for the Wildcats from 1983-1987. UK currently only has one commit for the class of 2014 — 5-star center Karl Towns.

Other than Kentucky, Blackmon has received offers from UCLA, Michigan State, Florida State, Oklahoma State, Florida, among others. We’ll keep you updated when more information is released.
