Photo: Check Out This Awesome Cake That Honors Former St. John’s Basketball Coach Lou Carnesecca

Sports-themed cakes have become a pretty cool trend lately. Earlier today, we showed you a cake that depicted the Louisville Cardinals’ logo, and over the last few weeks, there have been plenty of other notable confections. While most of these cakes have been related to weddings, the latest awesome cake that came across our radar pays tribute to legendary St. John’s basketball coach Lou Carnesecca. It comes from his annual golf classic, and features a cake that looks like the court at Carnesseca Arena, along with a picture of him and a banner with the number “526″ on it to signify how many games Carnesseca won with the Red Storm.

Carnesecca retired as St. John’s head coach in 1992, and notably made the postseason in each of his 24 seasons at the helm of the Red Storm.
