Notre Dame’s Awesome Win Over Stanford: The Day, In 12 Photos

Everyone knows that College GameDay was in South Bend this past weekend, and that Notre Dame prevailed over Stanford with a goal-line stand in overtime. You’ve heard about it and read about it – but here’s your chance to see/experience it, through the eyes of a student.

Here are the best 12 pictures from the unbelievable day!

A not-so-subtle dig at the nature of SEC football powerhouses, especially in light of a game dubbed the “SAT Bowl.”

Judging from the game, it seems like 6 had just cause to be afraid of 7…

Nothing like a classic “the good, the bad, the ugly” rivalry sign to get Notre Dame fans revved up for the upcoming game.

A new spin on the infamous “Catholics vs. Convicts” rivalry series against Miami, but this time with a much less fearsome foe!

A 5-0 undefeated record sure doesn’t sound irrelevant to me…

Rick Reilly will NEVER live down his comments that Notre Dame is now irrelevant in the College Football world down. Especially this season.

Can a set of College GameDay possibly get a prettier location? I think not.

Counting down the seconds as the GameDay crew gets their final touchups!

Now we’re post-game: The alma mater is even MORE beautiful from the field. Trust me, I know.

The pouring rain makes storming the field that much sweeter for the ECSTATIC Notre Dame students.

How do you leave once the party on the field is over? Through the historic Notre Dame tunnel, of course!

Possibly the most amazing sight of the night, Touchdown Jesus welcoming us out of the tunnel after an unforgettable game.
