Lindsay Brown, now a senior at the University of Notre Dame, played a critical role on the 2010 Irish women’s soccer team that won the national championship. And then she decided to leave the team to start her own nonprofit organization that promotes girls’ education in Nepal.

Now, Brown is popping up on the cover of Seventeen after receiving the publication’s “Pretty Amazing” award. Well done, Lindsay.
