The Longhorn Network Chimes In On Richard Sherman’s Postgame Rant: “We’re Not Overly Fond Of Crabtree Either”
Last night, Richard Sherman of the Seattle Seahawks took the world by storm when he publicly blasted the 49ers’ Michael Crabtree after the NFC Championship Game. Of course, this sparked debate from sports fans everywhere — did we actually like the trash talk or not? Some view it as justified — if he backs up his talk with impressive on-field play (which he did), why not say a few words? Others think that calling out his opponent after a win was a bit tasteless and unnecessary, and definitely wasn’t a show of good sportsmanship.
ESPN’s Longhorn Network, dedicated specifically to the University of Texas, took a bit of a humorous approach to the situation when chiming in on Twitter:
It’s ok, we’re not overly fond of Crabtree either. MT @RSherman_25: There was a lot of talk before the game…. Now I’m the bad guy lol.

In two games against Texas while playing for Texas Tech (the teams split the series, 1-1), Crabtree racked up 322 receiving yards and three touchdowns on 19 catches — that’s some serious production. I can see why the Longhorns wouldn’t be overly fond of (facing) Crabtree either.
