Report: Texas’ Starting C, Dominic Espinosa, Suffered Broken Ankle, Likely Out For Season

One of the key cogs of Texas’ offense is likely out for the rest of the season, according to a report by OrangeBloods.com

Dominic Espinosa, the starting center for the Longhorns, suffered a broken ankle in Saturday’s season opener. Per the report, the senior is likely out out for the rest of the year. 

Espinosa injured his right ankle during Saturday’s game against North Texas, a 38-7 Longhorns’ victory. Espinosa, making his 40th career start, suffered the injury in the third quarter of the contest. He was replaced by redshirt freshman center Jake Raulerson.

Texas plays BYU next Saturday.
