Paul Finebaum Pokes Fun At Bob Stoops After… Iowa State’s Loss
ESPN college football analyst Paul Finebaum is pretty open about his bias towards the Southeastern Conference - heck, he wrote a book titled “My Conference Can Beat Your Conference” about it. And apparently that means that when someone else in the industry criticizes the SEC, he won’t forget about it. Saturday, Finebaum took a little shot at Oklahoma head coach Bob Stoops after Iowa State lost to FCS reigning champion North Dakota State.
Has Bob Stoops offered an opinion yet on the Iowa State loss?

Stoops, if you remember, has been very vocal about his disdain for the conference in recent years. He criticized the bottom half of the SEC last May, saying they hadn’t “done much at all.” Finebaum is clearly implying that Iowa State, a team that hasn’t finished with even a .500 record in-conference since 2005, is in the bottom half of the Big 12. He’s apparently not impressed with the Cyclones either.
Oh, and if you were to actually ask Stoops about ISU’s loss? He’d probably just tell you that his Sooners will need to beat the Cyclones – they can’t lose to a team that lost to an FCS squad and have a shot at the national title.
