Photos: Texas To Wear Pink Breast Cancer Awareness Gear Against KSU
Texas’ football team will have some special gear when it plays against Kansas State this Saturday – the players will be wearing pink gloves, socks and warmup sneakers for Breast Cancer Awareness Month. They’ll also have a pink ribbon the back of their helmets. Here are a few photos, courtesy of KXAN’s Brent Carney and ESPN:

As ESPN Texas notes, the Longhorns don’t have any home games in October, the official Breast Cancer Awareness Month – hence the decision to wear the pink gear earlier. They have two road games along with their annual matchup against Oklahoma at the Cotton Bowl in Dallas.
Nothing wrong with getting this kind of thing started a little early – nice work, Texas.
