Photo: Check Out Pitt’s Inaugural “ACC” Patches For The 2013 Football Season
The Atlantic Coast Conference, which was heavily involved in the latest round of conference realignment, will be gaining two new full-time members this upcoming July 1st – Syracuse and Pittsburgh. And so, the two newest members of the league are going through a transition period in which they must change out the old Big East logo for the new ACC decal on football fields, basketball courts, stadiums, and of course, jerseys.
This afternoon, The Emblem Source tweeted out a photo of what Pitt’s new ACC patches will look like for the football team.

The color schemes look pretty standard, but just seeing the ACC logo associated with the school allows reality to settle in that the Panthers are no longer part of a league they helped bring to national power.
Tomorrow, we’ll get to see the patches for Syracuse – so check back if you’re interested in seeing the ACC logo in orange.
