Rick Pitino After AAC Championship: “I Think We’re A 1-Seed”
Despite sharing the AAC regular season title with Cincinnati after posting a 15-3 record in-conference, the Louisville Cardinals were generally considered a 3-seed or a 4-seed for the upcoming NCAA Tournament by most bracketologists heading into their league tournament. Why? Though Louisville notched a number of victories over quality conference foes, Louisville simply didn’t have many notable non-conference wins to boast its resume. But after the way the Cardinals dominated their opponents in the AAC Tournament, Rick Pitino and his squad certainly look like one of the nation’s elite teams. In fact, Pitino himself even said so after the game.

Louisville ran through the conference tournament, posting lopsided wins over Rutgers (by 61), Houston and UConn. The Cardinals have also won 12 of their last 13 games. Do you agree with Pitino’s assessment, or is their hot finish not indicative of the entire season?
