College football fans have long assumed that Louisville star quarterback Teddy Bridgewater would bolt for the NFL after his junior season, especially given the fact that he’d be a lock to be chosen in the first round of the draft. But according to John Middlekauff of 95.7 The Game, Bridgewater is contemplating returning to the Cardinals for his final year of eligibility.
Multiple sources tell me Teddy Bridgewater has contemplated returning to school. No decision has been made at this point

Many believed that Louisville had an outside shot at reaching the BCS National Championship game this season, assuming the Cardinals went undefeated. The team’s loss to UCF back on October 18th ended those hopes and also cost Louisville a shot at playing in a BCS bowl game. Perhaps the combination of UL coming so close to a perfect season and the school’s move to the ACC has Bridgewater thinking they can make another run at it. Either way, it’s very interesting to hear that Bridgewater is having second thoughts on the NFL.
Bridgewater and the Cardinals take on Miami (FL) in the Russell Athletic Bowl in two weeks. Perhaps it’ll be his last game in a Louisville uniform – or perhaps not.
