FSU’s Jimbo Fisher: ACC Is “Closing In” On The SEC

College football coaches everywhere are getting tired of hearing how bad their respective conferences are compared to the SEC, and it appears that they believe that time is almost at an end. Last week, Nebraska’s Bo Pelini boasted that many SEC teams actually wish they were Nebraska, and he’s probably not wrong. Today, Jimbo Fisher is joining the discussion as well:

Not sure if I agree that the ACC is catching the SEC overall, but it’s true that some of the ACC’s top tier teams, such as Florida State, can very much hang with the SEC, as evidenced by the Seminoles-Gators rivalry each year. I think college football fans would love to see an ACC-SEC challenge started in football every year, or any conference challenge for that matter — somebody make it happen.
