Johnny Manziel And Tajh Boyd Will Join ESPN’s Coverage Of BCS National Championship

Jameis Winston, Tre Mason and company already make this year’s BCS National Championship Game a star-studded affair, but a few more of college football’s best will also be making appearances, albeit in different roles. 2012 Heisman winner Johnny Manziel and Clemson quarterback Tajh Boyd will be featured in ESPN2′s coverage of Florida State vs. Auburn.

Manziel, who is coming off of an incredible performance in the Chick-fil-A Bowl against Duke, threw for 454 yards and four touchdowns in a shootout against Auburn, which the Aggies dropped 45-41. Boyd did not fair as well against the mighty Florida State defense, as he was held to his lowest yardage output of the season (156), and only threw one touchdown against two interceptions in a 51-14 loss. Florida State’s win at Clemson is often regarded as a jumping-off point for their run to the National Championship Game.

Manziel and Boyd join Alabama coach Nick Saban and Vanderbilt coach James Franklin, who will also be adding their perspectives to ESPN’s coverage of the game.
