Former Clemson Wideout DeAndre Hopkins Takes Shot At Jadeveon Clowney On Twitter

The Clemson vs. South Carolina rivalry is alive and well, folks.

Yesterday, star Gamecocks defensive end Jadeveon Clowney made waves when he stated that he knows that certain quarterbacks “fear” him – namely Clemson’s Tajh Boyd and Georgia’s Aaron Murray.

Well, as you’d imagine, Clowney’s statements ticked off a few people. Enter DeAndre Hopkins, current Houston Texan and former Clemson Tiger. Hopkins, who was drafted in the first round of the 2013 NFL Draft, had a few things to say on Twitter today about the situation.

Boyd retweeted Hopkins’ tweet, clearly showing he agrees.

Given the fact that Clowney is a virtual lock to go in the first round of the 2014 NFL Draft, we should see these two on the field against each other in the not-so-distant future.

Did Clowney overstep here, or is this much ado about nothing?
